AAN Congratulates Vice-President-Elect Kamala Harris as well as President-Elect Joe Biden

African Advocacy Network (AAN) joins thousands of grassroots and community-based organizations to congratulate Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris on her historic election as Vice President. AAN also congratulates President-elect Joe Biden on becoming the 46th president of the United States.

As an organization serving African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants and refugees in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, AAN is proud of this historic achievement by Senator Harris as not only the first woman but also the first woman of color, with black, Indian and Afro-Caribbean descent.

As we prepare for the U.S. presidential inauguration on January 20, 2020, AAN and other community-based organizations look forward to working together to ensure that the United States continues to be a beacon of hope for all immigrants.
